It’s summer time! Pools, oceans, swimsuits and ice cream!
The cold, sugary confections are a delicious way to beat the heat. Below is an infographic that explains the difference between a gelato, which means frozen in Italian, and it’s counterpart, ice cream.
While the main difference is that gelato contains less air, less butterfat, and is served at a higher temperature. However, there are also more artisan differences…fresh ingredients, small batches that are consumed quickly, and natural ingredients.
